You may scatter ashes with or without a religious ceremony. We respect your choice.
On the day
Your cruise
Cruises start and finish at our landing stage at Crowne Plaza Stratford-upon-Avon. The cruise lasts around 75-90 minutes.
Your ceremony
Your loved one’s ashes are scattered in a peaceful and pretty spot some distance away from the busy Stratford upon Avon town centre.
Refreshments
We offer a selection of refreshments after your scattering ceremony.
On the river
Flowers, paper petals and biodegradable water urns made of salt, sand or handmade paper may be floated on the river.
Plastic bags, plastic urns, cardboard scattering tubes or ceremonial cloths must not be put in the river, as they do not biodegrade quickly (or at all) and are dangerous for the environment, our seas, wildlife and boats. If your urn is a scattering tube, or is plastic or hard cardboard, we will look after it when you leave.
We abide by His Majesty’s Coastguard and our river authority (ANT) regulations, and do not cruise if the river state poses any risk.
The cost of the 90 minute private cruise
£475
This includes the tailored cruise, arranging, confirmation & pre-cruise emails, to a total of 6 emails. Over this level an administration fee will be levied of £5 per email.
