A word from our guests
We used Bancroft River Cruises for a Sikh scattering of ashes ceremony. Fiona was very friendly and looked after our guests. It was very peaceful, and we were allowed to take our time and didn't feel rushed. The team allowed us to disembark at the venue that we had booked for lunch. We were also served with the best tasting chai made by Fiona. It is a bonus that a lift is available for those guests who have difficulty with mobility.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Fiona for her exceptional support and compassion in helping us arrange a last-minute appointment to scatter our beloved dog Kenzo's ashes. From our first conversation, Fiona's kindness and understanding made this difficult time more bearable. We were deeply touched by the beautiful, heated boat with Sikh hymns played, which thoughtfully accommodated our needs and provided a truly special send-off for Kenzo. Fiona's helpfulness and empathy made this challenging experience much easier, and we are incredibly grateful for her assistance. Thank you, Fiona, for everything you have done. We highly recommend your services to anyone seeking a compassionate and personalized farewell for their beloved pet.
I would like to thank you again for the lovely service you provided on Sunday morning for the scattering of my mum's ashes. The whole family commented on how respectful, knowledgeable and attentive you were at this sad time for the family. You gave everyone a warm welcome and nothing was too much effort for you. We all loved the masala tea (and biscuits) and my wife was telling the rest of the family who couldn't attend how beautiful it tasted and more importantly your ingredients for the tea. Teddy also loved his dog treats. Thank you so much and you know I will always recommend you as you provide and exemplary service. Wishing you all the best for now and into the future.
I would like to say a big thank you to Fiona for making what was a sad occasion and farewell to our loved one truly special. Fiona was so compassionate, caring and thoughtful and the whole experience for the family was as enjoyable as it could have been; from the lovely incense to the Indian prayers, and enjoyable steady trip on the boat. We all have fond memories of this sacred time as the ashes were scattered. Coming back, we all relaxed with some beautiful Indian chai - it’s the best Indian chai I've tasted!!! For a beautiful service, Fiona will make it extra special for you. Thank you again Fiona, much appreciation to you and your driver.
Hi Fiona, Thank you for all your assistance from Start to finish, Dad would have been looking down on us and feeling proud. The journey was and the spot where you stopped off to scatter ashes was very peaceful. Your knowledge is second to none. 7 out of 5 stars from us!
Thank you for the thoughtful and beautifully organised trip today to spread the ashes of a most beloved father, husband and uncle. Your knowledge of the Hindu way, greeting us all so warmly yet discretely meant a lot. The chai and egg free biscuits were a lovely touch. You helped make a very hard day a beautiful send off for him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The L and D families
We booked Sikh ashes scattering Ceremony for my mum/grandmother today. We just want to thank Fiona for a excellent costumer service she really made us feel comfortable and really took care of us. The prayers on the boat was beautiful and soothing. Fiona really went out her way to make my family feel at ease. We can’t thank you enough Fiona. X
We used Bancroft Cruisers to scatter my partner’s mother’s ashes, and I would heartily recommend them for this service. The staff, in particular Fiona, were extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable on traditional Sikh ceremonies appropriate for a scattering. The music and hymns provided via the sound system were very fitting, and they made sure to explain the hymns chosen to those of the group who aren’t Sikh, so they could appreciate the ceremony properly. Refreshments were provided, including homemade spiced tea, which was lovely. The staff had even made a small diya for the ceremony, as it was also Diwali when we did the scattering. This extra touch was extremely appreciated. The boat cruise was great too – we went down the river to a location just outside of Stratford, and the route was very scenic (even if the weather was a bit gloomy!). The spot at which we scattered the ashes was very tranquil, and the side of the river could be reached via footpath, if we wanted to visit the site again on foot. Thank you Fiona and Co. My partner sends her well wishes.
A big thank you from us all. It was so lovely to come a year on and remember mum. Thank you for making the diya for us and we loved your tea – again!! Hope you enjoyed the samosas!
